I enjoy having a bit of all of those! It means I never get bored! Sometime I can be doing some reading, other I’ll have my lab coat on doing some experiments. I will then write up my experiments and do some design drawings!

I prefer practical stuff, I guess thats why I became an engineer that tests stuff, I get to spend loads of time in a lab testing equipment! I also like the drawing aspects of the job though. It’s exciting when I get a chance to try and design something with complete drawing freedom and come up with whatever solution I think will work.

After drawing and testing, the written stuff has to be done, there’s no escaping it. I don’t mind it really, but definitely prefer the other stuff!

I enjoy a bit of both, but seeing as I come across practical work less often I’ll have to say that; I like a bit of everything! In my line of work, practical work is things like workshops where we chat together to discuss solutions for projects.
