With the work I am doing now, I make sure it’s safe to fly using our equipment through any environment. In a way I guess that means I am preventing crashes (say if a plane gets hit by lightning) and so saving lives that way. Right now that equipment is going on military helicopters, but the exact same technology is also used on airliners like the ones you use to go on holiday, so I could say I might be saving holiday goers lives too!

Helping the world is a bit trickier I guess. Unlike the others, my work protects us from the environment, instead of the environment from us! What I really hope to do though is cut down the amount of paper we use. You may think you print a lot at home, but in offices like mine hundreds of pages of paper are printed out every day. I think in the near future we can completely remove the need for paper, and I believe as a young guy at a big company I can really push that change through and save a few trees!
