it depends how critical it is and how quickly it needs to be resolved – most things are not urgent, having the time to reflect, speak to others, look at the problem from different angles is valuable. I would not go crazy – cuz that doesn’t help solve the problem, quite often stepping away from the problems, doing something completely different and coming back to it later does help.
If the problem was something like my computer broke – I’d get on and fix it right away, probably whilst going crazy wondering if I’d get my work back!
If it’s something like a design problem, you could leave it to tomorrow everday and never actually solve it! I take the approach why put off something you could do today just to have to do it tomorrow when you might get the chance to do something more fun!
Depends on the problem, if it’s not critical then a) as i would probably mull it over when having dinner, if it was critical to get it out of the door, then it would be b) as I’d hate to let anyone down. If option b) took a very very long time, I’d complete it and then go for a walk so that c) wouldn’t happen!
Different people deal with problems in different ways, I like to tackle problems head on! This definitely works sometimes and its good to have the discipline to keep at something until its fixed, but sometimes when I try to solve something which is way too big in this way I do start to go crazy! When I start to go crazy about it though, I then sit back, take a breath and leave it till tomorrow. So for me I think it goes, b)c)a).
